To all the Parishioners St.Thomas Church Kepayan.
With great joy I am writing this message on this auspicious occasion of your new Church.You have been longing and dreaming for it.Now your dream has come true.
Congratulations !
I may not be able to be with you because the date chosen for this occasion does not fit into my schedule,but I can assure you that I shall be with you in spirit and in prayer.
The Lord blesses us always.But on certain occasion we experience greater blessing.The opening and blessing of a Church is one of those certain occasions.Expect,hope and pray it.The Lord surely will occupy his Church as He did long ago when Solomon,the King dedicated the temple in Jerusalem.The author of I King Chapter 8:10-11 has this to say:....."the cloud filled the Temple of Yahweh and because of the cloud the priest could not stay and perform their duties.For the glory of Yahweh filled the Temple of Yahweh."
Make this day to be a day of the Lord and day to be remember.The social aspect of the celeberation will enchance the occasion if it is done proportionally.The Lord will guide you in this aspect if your preparation is centred on prayer and fasting.
Lastly and not the least I would like to say a word of thanks to everyone,especially the members of the building committee who has helped to make your dream a reality.
May the Name of the Lord Jesus be praised.
